2021: Our Year in Review

Our goal from Day 1: Help kids discover, eat and LOVE more veggies through turnkey, hands-on tools. While we believe our team is the bees' knees, the backbone of this little company is our partners, clients and the community we serve. It takes a village to create real change... and whoa baby did y'all turn out this year! Thank you so much for such an incredible 2021!

Take a look back with us at all we were able to accomplish together this year…

We shipped Small Bites Adventure Club kits directly to homes and 64 schools and education programs this year. Altogether, we reached 16,929 children. We have so many of you to thank for helping us overcome logistical challenges to get our kits in kids’ hands. We especially want to thank the 76 teachers who facilitated children’s experiences with Small Bites activities and exercises that expose young ones to fruits, veggies, and the farmers who grew them.

Hopefully our teachers and parents aren’t too tired! After all, they doled out 15,850 tastes of fruits and veggies in 2021! Children are more likely to try a new food if they helped make it, so we served up 18 recipes in Small Bites Adventure Club kits this year. Checkout our favorite five recipes in this Instagram post.

We can barely believe how far Small Bites kits went this year. Our incredible partners helped us get kits to kids in 170 cities in 40 states! Should we go for all 50 states next year?! Follow us on Instagram @smallbitesclub to see what’s next in 2022.

We learned early on that kids who are exposed to their food sources - like the farmers who grew the greens in their salad - are more likely to foster healthy eating habits as they grow up. This year we sourced local produce for kids to taste from 31 farmers in the Southeast. We work with Common Market SE to access and deliver fresh, local produce from real farmers. See photos of all of our current farmers here and checkout the farms we enjoyed produce from in 2021 below!
